Levy UK & Villa Park Win Awards For Great Staff & Venue

Levy UK and Villa Park have won a bevy of awards over the last few weeks for our amazing staff and their amazing venue.

Birmingham’s most iconic stadium won the ‘Best Venue’ award at the 2018 Midlands Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards at the end of June. A massive achievement!

Meanwhile, Levy UK staff who work at Villa Park have also picked up a string of impressive awards including ‘Best Operations Team’, ‘Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper’ and ‘Shining Star’ accolades.

Levy UK has only been providing hospitality and catering staff for both match days and non-match days at Villa Park since last year, but it seems like our team’s hard work – backed up by our comprehensive staff training programme – is already paying huge dividends.

That’s why we can say we are proud that Max Hayward, our People Operations Manager at Aston Villa Football club, has just won a ‘Shining Star’ silver award at The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2018 for his stellar work at the Birmingham venue.

Announcing the awards on his LinkedIn profile, Max said: “WINNERS!!! Our award winning team also work at an award winning venue! Very proud of the hard work and dedication of our team which has been proven with our awards over the last couple of months!”

We are also proud to pick up silver for the ‘Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper’ title at The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2018. It really shows that our staff training translates into great customer service skills for our valued team of staff at Villa Park.

Speaking with anticipation when the nominations were put forward back in April this year, the Head of Sales for Conferences and Events at Aston Villa, Laura Johns, said: “It’s been a fantastic year following the partnership with Levy UK and these nominations back that up. We’re very proud of the high quality conferences and events that we host at Villa Park and I feel these nominations show that the future at Aston Villa looks really exciting.”

Laura Worsey, Head of Hospitality at Aston Villa Football Club, also commented on the nominations at the time, saying: “We’re delighted to see our ongoing efforts rewarded with these nominations. Offering best-in-class hospitality is something we’re immensely passionate about and we feel we have come a long way in the last year.”
