Bristol Zoo Gardens is home to The Clifton Pavilion, a unique events space and fantastic venue that Levy UK are proud to be a long-standing catering partner for. We offer a variety of events; corporate conferences, weddings, dinners, canapes and drinks evenings as well as Ground Events within the zoo for up to 1000 guests.
We’re currently recruiting for an Events Manager to oversee the running of events and hospitality areas with responsibility for not only managing the day to day operation but driving the department forward in terms of innovation and standards. You will be managing a team of 2 Assistant Managers who in turn over see a team of team leaders and casual staff.
The Events Manager will be responsible for the day to day operation of the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in running events including Weddings, corporate functions and dinners . This is a full time permanent position, working 5 out of 7 days including evenings and weekends. For the right applicant there is great role progression in an exciting department where every day is different.
•To take direct responsibility for the operation of functions and meeting clients and attendee
•To ensure that all conference and event specifications are met in accordance with the BEO for the event and in line with the venue branding and standards
•Be innovative and bring new ideas and concepts to progress the department and business
•To manage a team of 2 Assistant Managers, team leaders, casual waiters and kitchen porters
•To recruit, train and develop the whole team
•To ensure on all occasions you observe and practice safe and hygienic working practices in accordance with Compass Group standards
• To drive the department forward in terms of standards, innovation and current trends
• To work closely with the Head Chef and Sales Manager to ensure that the delivery of events is the number one key priority
