Levy Restaurants requires a Junior Sous Chef to work in a busy restaurant environment at the beautiful Leeds Castle in Kent.
With a new Executive Head Chef leading the kitchen, a varied role awaits, with endless career possibilities for anyone who is enthusiastic. The duties for this role will include working in a team, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include training, menu management, HR, stock management and taking an active part in abiding strict HSE requirements.
Leeds Castle is a popular, prestigious venue for conferences, weddings and functions, as well as welcoming 600,000 day visitors each year. We have a range of catering outlets and restaurants which offer everything from sandwiches and snacks, breakfast and evening meal for our B&B visitors through to five star dining for wedding and conference guests.
Working in collaboration with our catering partners Levy (who are part of the prestigious, Compass Group), we are currently recruiting an experienced Senior C&E Sous Chef to work as part of the kitchen brigade but with specific responsibility to raise standards in our C&e department.
The person appointed will have a passion for food & an eye for detail ensuring all food produced has great taste, style & presentation.
To succeed in this positon you will need to be an experienced Sous Chef with very high standards of presentation. You will need passion for developing the product and the ability to work well in a team. You will need to be well organised to ensure that you and the team to meet strict Health and Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
