Set in a beautiful landscape, Kempton Park is London’s premier all-weather horse racing and entertainment venue, with fantastic facilities for every social and business event.

As well as a prestigious Jump Season, Kempton offers afternoon, weekend and floodlit evening flat racing – all year round. As well as opportunities to work at various conferences and exhibitions.  Sandown Park is also able to offer opportunities to its staff at our other local racecourses, Epsom Downs and Sandown Park which are staffed by the same team.

**How to Get There**

By road – We are located on the A308 on the edge of Sunbury on Thames, less than 1 mile from Junction 1 of the M3.  There is plenty of staff parking at the racecourse.

By rail – The racecourse boasts its own on site station – Kempton Park – which is situated 200 yards from the Premier Enclosure entrance.  Trains run every half an hour from Waterloo with the journey time being just 40 minutes.

We&#39;re looking for a passionate and driven Catering Assistant to join our team at our recently refurbished catering facility based at Raynes Park Community Tennis Centre, on a full time basis. You will play a crucial role in our assisted-service environment, preparing and serving an array of hot and cold beverages and food items to guests. Your contribution will be key to ensuring our operations run seamlessly, all while contributing to the unforgettable Wimbledon experience we&#39;re known for. Full training will be provided with exciting opportunities for development and progression. As part of the Food &amp; Drink at Wimbledon team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of The Championships tournament held annually in June/July. Your Role <ul><li>To ensure your unit is set up and operationally ready for opening to the agreed standards and expectations outlined by Food &amp; Drink at Wimbledon, guided by your manager.</li><li>Always consider the “guest journey”, ensuring all front of house areas are kept clean and tidy, queues are managed, and tables are cleared efficiently to encourage the turnover of guests.</li><li>Under the guidance of the culinary and management teams assist with all aspects of preparation, stocking and presentation to the Food &amp; Drink at Wimbledon standards.</li><li>To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly with regards to special dietary requirements, allergens, and shelf life.</li><li>Actively promote the reduction of wastage.</li><li>Ensure all areas, surfaces, equipment, and fridges are regularly cleaned, sanitized and tidied, before, during and at the end of your shift and all necessary paperwork is completed as instructed.</li><li>During service, serve our guests and clients at the counter as directed, taking payment on electronic till systems.</li><li>Maintain counters and fridges with sufficient supplies of stock throughout the service period, as guided by your manager.</li><li>Ensure stock rooms and cupboards are organised and clean, to ensure easy stock rotation and reconciliation.</li><li>Implement stock rotation and ensure product placement is adhered to as per the specifications.</li><li>Where necessary, assist in the back of house areas: kitchen and food preparation, pot wash and stock deliveries.</li><li>Proactively assist with the set up and clear down of your area, ready for the next service.</li><li>Actively gain customer feedback and escalate any service issues to the appropriate management team member immediately and highlight areas for improvement.</li><li>Carry out any other reasonable duties asked of you from within your team and management including being flexible in covering tasks outside of your role-specific duties.</li></ul> In line with our Responsible Service of Alcohol policy and licensing requirements, applicants must be over the age of 18. We are looking for casual catering staff (bar, waiting staff, chefs, team leaders, baristas) to work at Sandown Park Racecourse, Epsom Downs Racecourse and Kempton Park Racecourse during race days, exhibitions, conferences, dinners, parties etc. Closest events : Bet365 Festival at Sandown Park Racecourse, Spring Meet at Epsom Downs Racecourse as well as further events at Sandown, Epsom and Kempton. Casual work means you are welcome to work as much or as little as you'd like - work is being offered in shifts (varied from 4 to 12 hours and across mornings, evenings and afternoons) and you would apply for shifts you wish to be working. You would be working in events in different catering roles (dependent on what your skills and interests are) delivering world class hospitality to our guests. Roles vary from restaurant waiters, runners, table cleaners, catering assistants, baristas, bar staff, team leaders, wash ups, porters, chefs, etc You are welcome to work as much or as little as you'd like, working is being offered in shifts. We have a wide variety of shifts available (mornings, evenings, afternoons, weekends). Shifts vary in length from 4 to 12 hours and you are welcome to choose which shifts you wish to be working.
