Restaurant and Event Manager
Here at Carlisle Racecourse, we are looking to recruit a successful, committed, passionate individual to manage our Restaurant & Event hospitality, looking after guests on a variety of platforms including Race Meetings, Conferences, Functions and Dinners.
The main objective is to ensure the smooth planning and delivery of day-to-day hospitality functions within unit, to our clients and customers, whilst managing the business needs and performance standards.
Responsibilities are to:
Acknowledge, act and anticipate individual customer needs whilst observing the standards. Aim to exceed all customer expectations.
Treat all customers in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
Provide direct liaison with client, customer and sales team to ensure clear communications of each party’s needs and expectations.
Ensure day-to-day delivery of catering services as advised to standards within the business.
Demonstrate a commitment to the venue.
Be aware and adhere with statutory, legal and company health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
Be active in setting up, managing and breaking down an event at the venue.
Controlling stock and kit levels to ensure we maintain best practice in the business for our offerings and cost controls.
Support your general manager in the achievement of sales revenue and targets for the site and optimize profitability and efficiency.
Have a flexible approach to our business, ensuring all functions are covered, with the support of our operations team.
Manage staff during events and restaurant service, ensuring they have requirements to do fulfil their role.
Have accountability for all commercial procedures across all events.
