We are recruiting a full time Kitchen Porter to join our Members Dining Room team!


The dining offer includes a formal dining room open for lunch seven days a week and dinner Monday to Friday evenings. The Club Room is a casual dining experience offering breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea served daily. The Landing Bar is open daily for drinks service.

Role Purpose


Are you ready to be the heartbeat of our kitchen? Working along side the Kitchen Team it is your responsibility to maintain a clean, tidy and safe workspace, ensuring that all crockery, cutlery, glass wear and cook wear is restocked and ready for the next service. Working in a fast-paced environment alongside our Members Dining Room team, you will be a quick learner and have a can-do attitude.


All colleagues are required to:

· Washing crockery, cutlery and glassware with the aid of an industrial machine/heavy duty pots and pans in the production kitchens.

· Collect food and beverage items from the main stores.

· Unload and load cages of equipment and deliveries as requested.

· Collection and disposal of kitchen waste in line with company procedures.

· Ensure that your designated area of work is prepared for service times.

· Clear all breakages and spillages immediately and dispose of them in the correct manger i.e. do not put broken glass in the rubbish bins.

· Ensure that all equipment is stacked back into cages in a safe and correct manner i.e. heavy items at the bottom (runners of plates) and lighter items at the top (runners of coffee cups)

· Work as part of a team to ensure its effective operation whilst assisting chefs in your kitchen.

· Leave both the clearance area and the kitchen clean and tidy, ensure that all floors are mopped and all areas are clear of any debris, equipment and furniture.

· Restock all disposable and chemical items in your unit.

· Complete requisitions for any disposable and chemical items you require.


Hours & Shift Expectations

  • Full time hours - 40 per week
  • Working 5 out of 7 on a rota basis
  • Lunch approximately 40 covers
  • Dinner approximately 30 covers
  • Expectation to work approximately 5 weekend days per month
  • Meals on duty


Equipment Requirements

  • PPE - including steel toe cap boots and protective clothing. This will be supplied as part of your uniform.
