We have an array of different management and supervisory positions available across the venue both front and back of house. Managers will use their experience and leadership skills to harness teamwork, promote a positive, inclusive culture and provide an unforgettable experience for both guests and colleagues. Responsible for teams of up to 50, you will be a strong leader with a can-do attitude.

Roles available: Team Leader, Supervisor, Bar Manager, Hospitality & Retail Managers

During the Wimbledon fortnight, Leadership roles exist across the site in a variety of areas:

  • Hospitality – Our hospitality areas offer plated and buffet menu, serving 40 cover suites to 500 cover seated dining.
  • Restaurants – Exclusive Members Restaurants, Sponsor Areas and The Royal Room, as well as reservation only restaurants such as The Wingfield and The Renshaw, offering 4+ course menus with afternoon tea and supper.
  • Retail & Public – There are many retail areas across site offering varied hot and cold food options which serve the 42,000 members of the public who are expected on site each day.
  • Self-Service – Exclusive Areas that serve Competitors, Debenture Holders and Members Enclosure Areas as well as Media and Press Areas that have high customer engagement and high-profile guests.
  • Back of House – Our Logistics, Beverage, Uniform and Stores team work round the clock to ensure the site is set up and fully stocked.
  • People Operations – Working as part of the People Operations Team ensuring our 3000 colleagues are fully trained, engaged and in situ. Supporting managers with any staffing issues and ensuring staff welfare is of the highest standard.

Leadership team responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and directing the team of staff within your given area
  • Ensuring that the highest level of food and customer service is provided at all times
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and clients to ensure the successful delivery of day-to-day operation
  • Communicate on an ongoing basis with your kitchen team to ensure that daily service runs smoothly
  • Ensuring all staff members are professional in their appearance and approach at all times, addressing any retraining needed throughout the event
  • Ensure that all operational targets set by the home team are achieved
  • Ensure your staff rotas are correctly managed and budgets adhered to inline with our labour management system
  • Work in conjunction with the other Managers in your area to pool resources and support one another when necessary
  • Monitor and control all statutory and Food & Drink at Wimbledon health and safety policies and procedures and embed these practices with your team
  • Comply with environmental health food hygiene regulations and on-site reporting systems
  • Encourage safe and sustainable practices at all times throughout the event
  • Encourage the retention of team members and engage with the reward and recognition scheme within your unit
  • Adherence to Food & Drink at Wimbledon uniform and personal hygiene standards at all times

Senior management will be required to attend a Leadership Training Day on Friday 16th June 2023.
