Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced leader to supervise our catering and event team at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.

Main Responsibilities:

– To be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients
and colleagues
– To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times
– To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests
and strive to exceed customer expectations
– Working with the Event Manager to make sure all events run smoothly as
possible
– Leading a team of up to 25 staff members on the night
– Being involved in the planning stages before the event
– Working and building efficiencies in our processes
– Following and expanding our SOPs
– Assisting in running dinner services of up to 250 guests
– Cashing up tills at the end of services
– Helping in the running of multiple pop up bars
– To maximize all sales opportunities through selling techniques
– To acquire a good knowledge of all products in order to be able to advise
individual customers on their product choice
– To actively gain customer feedback, passing information gained onto
your line manager to make sure you are aware of, and meet the legal
and Company requirements for fire, safety, health and hygiene
– To report health and safety issues to your line manager, including all
accidents and near misses
– To promote good safety habits and methods of work

Our Event Supervisor will work 2 evenings a week with late finishes, except peak times when it does get busy (winter months). The other 2/3 days,
depending on the hours worked in the events, will be spent assisting the café and completing prep work.
