Medirest is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, who provide a full range of Hotel Services (including staff, patient and visitors catering, domestics, portering and security) at over 130 NHS Trust and private hospitals.
Position
Barista, based at Costa Coffee, King’s Mill Hospital
Hours
Various hours in a 7 day operation, shift patterns operate between the hours of 7:30am and 10pm according to business needs. There will be a need to work weekend hours for all employees. The weekly average hours are 21, however there is opportunity for potential additional hours
The Costa team based at the King’s Mill Hospital is looking for an organised and motivated individual, with a catering and customer service / retail background. The successful person will join the Costa team to deliver the perfect cup of coffee to every customer in line with Brand Standards.
Requirements
The Person
• Previous experience in a retail and catering role is desirable (Barista experience desirable)
• Previous cash handling experience is desirable
• Communicates confidently with others
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate is desirable
• Must be able to self motivate as well as work as part of a team
• Must be passionate about maintaining the Costa and hospitals’ high standards
• Numerically articulate
• Must be punctual and presentable
