Medirest is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, who provide a full range of Services (including staff, patient and visitors catering, domestics, portering and security) at over 130 NHS Trust and private hospitals

We are seeking to appoint new Ward Host team members to join our professional and dedicated team at Newark hospital. This role is initially on a temporary basis and we are seeking applications from people who are very flexible with their availability, demonstrate your passion and committment and a future career path is waiting for you! Weekend working will be required according to rota.

With varied responsibilities we are seeking people with a positive and cheerful attitude who will assist in the provision of a first class service to our patients, visitors and clients in a friendly, fast paced environment.

Maintaining standards of hygiene and cleanliness your role may include assistance in food preparation areas, service of food to patients, general cleaning duties whilst adhering to strict standards of health and safety and food hygiene.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to work with patients, visitors and hospital staff whilst maintaining a high level of cleanliness at all times. The candidate will be expected to maintain checklists and records to audit standards.

With high standards and a desire to provide a first class service you will ideally have previous relevant experience within a catering role and hold a Food Hygiene certificate.

The successful candidate will receive full training and must be willing to undergo an enhanced CRB check.
